This sencha is fine quality, early season small leaves, with an exceptional taste. Brew tea with water at 80 degrees Celsius.
Sencha is a type of Japanese ryokucha (green tea) which is prepared by infusing the processed whole tea leaves in hot water. This is as opposed to matcha, powdered Japanese green tea, where the green tea powder is mixed with hot water and therefore the leaf itself is included in the beverage.
Sencha green tea contains antioxidants, beta-carotene, calcium, catechins, folic acid, phosphorus, potassium and vitamin C that may only be found in nutrient-dense leaves.
